It is no secret that advertising in the cannabis industry has always been challenging due to an unconventional structure of the market. Despite of these bottlenecks, this industry has been able to perform fairly well at a time when a majority of other businesses have been barely holding up.
In June of this year alone, Colorado saw record breaking sales of recreational marijuana that crossed the $150 million mark. California showed similar trends where sales reached $348 million in the month of July.
These distinctive growth tendencies of the cannabis industry at a time of recession have been absolutely phenomenal to say the least.
A contributory factor to this growth is the increased legalization and decriminalization of cannabis use across various states in the US. In addition, the classification of the drug as an ‘essential’ during the lock down imposed since March of 2020 has also played a vital role in spiking its sales.
